 Winter Milky Way near Scorpius. Tripod mounted (no tracking), 3200ISO, 15sec, f/1.4 with dark frame NR subtraction in-camera. RAW file processed in Silkypix software with all NR settings set to zero, gamma set to 0.80 and Black to 100% to give a dark background which removed the nearby 1st quarter moonlight and the horizontal banding due to the sensor at ISO 3200. The Leica lens does give some coma aberration effects on the stars in the periphery, but very few lens are this good at f/1.4! The untracked 15sec exposure gives star trails which limit the ability to enlarge this image for printing. | P1020184j.jpg
