My photos of the Musée D'Orsay, Paris

This page has quite a few photos, so please wait for them to download. I have not placed larger versions of these on my website.
The Musée D'Orsay houses mainly 18th and 19th century art including its magnificent collection of Impressionist art. It was previously a railway station but this fell into disrepair as it was not long enough for the new trains.
While allowing photography, the museum bans the use of flash as does the Pompidou Centre. Without flash, you need a very steady hand in these low light situations and take time to ensure you are well positioned t avoid distortions. I used the Panasonic FZ-20 here to try out its image stabiliser which seemed to work reasonably well on these static objects.
All photos taken with Panasonic FZ-20 unless otherwise specified. Enjoy.
