Introduction

  • a fairly remote walk-in camp ground in a tall forest setting adjacent to a river, 230m from car park near Lorne in the Otways for those with hiking tents
  • ONLY for hikers, cyclists or campers who can carry their tent 230m down an emergency management gravel road - and back up again

Getting there

  • 2hrs (148km) from NW suburbs via Geelong and Lorne
    • if the Princes Fway is problematic, can also travel to Ballan then down to Colac but this adds 30min and 30km
    • there is a short drive along a gravel road from Lorne
  • 5min (2.4km) W of Lorne
  • 25min (19km) NNE of Wye River
  • 55min (47km) NE of Apollo Bay
  • 90min (110km) E of Lavers Hill via Deans Marsh
  • 52min (55km) SE of Colac
