many thanks to Carolyn Scott for mailing most of this information on the Rudd family.
many thanks to Betty Shillingford for further information and the UK photos, particularly, descendants of Maria RUDD (1821-1899) - which includes herself.
a possible relative to Joseph RUDD (1788-1852) is William RUDD (1767-) who was also born in Diss. William married Susan Smith and amongst his sons was a Zachariah whose descendants emigrated to America in 1927 from Banham, England. Could William be Joseph's father or more likely, his uncle?
