discontinued in 2003 due to Canon's decision to abandon lead glass for environmental reasons, and eventually was replaced by the
Canon EF 200mm f/2L lens released in 2008 which gives closer focus and adds
image stabiliser and standardises the rear drop in filter to 52mm instead of 48mm
