    • extremely sharp in the centre even wide open, significantly softer at edges, sharpest at f/2.8
    • -0.38% of barrelling
    • v. low CA
    • produces very impressive results, images are crisp and clean and visually very satisfying.
    • resistance to flare is excellent
    • some vignetting
    • nice bokeh
    • comparisons with the Olympus 12mm f/2 and Olympus 7-14mm f/2.8
    • nice bokeh but cats-eye squashed oval shape bokeh highlights at their maximum apertures
    • much better closer focus magnification than the Olympus 12mm f/2 as lengthwise covers only 124mm compared with 171mm on the Olympus even though both are rated as close focus 0.2m
    • less distortion than the Olympus 12mm f/2
    • sharper edges even at f/2 compared to the Olympus 12mm f/2, but similar in the centre
    • excellent apart from flare into direct sunlight
    • de-centering and coma issues on their copy
    • sharpest at f/4; 1.5EV vignetting wide open
