Nikon AF-S 70-300mm lenses

introduction

70-300mm lenses are mainly designed for enthusiasts for bushwalks, travel, etc and are thus designed to be relatively light weight with mainly plastic construction
if you are happy to accept the compromises in aperture and image quality, consider the more versatile Nikon AF-S 28-300mm lenses or better still get a more compact, lighter, less expensive Micro Four Thirds system which may give even better image quality across the frame, especially at 300mm.

2006 model, updating the old non-VR AF-S version, importantly for such a lens, adding image stabiliser
