{"id":5441,"date":"2012-05-24T21:42:46","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T11:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wp02\/?p=5441"},"modified":"2012-05-29T09:56:11","modified_gmt":"2012-05-28T23:56:11","slug":"false-color-infrared-photgraphy-with-the-olympus-om-d-m5-micro-four-thirds-camera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wp02\/?p=5441","title":{"rendered":"False color infrared photography with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I went on a road trip to outback Australia to play with my new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wiki\/doku.php?id=photo:olympusomdem5\" target=\"_blank\">Olympus OM-D E-M5<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wiki\/doku.php?id=photo:microfourthirds\" target=\"_blank\">Micro Four Thirds camera<\/a> and primarily used it with the lovely but moderately expensive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wiki\/doku.php?id=photo:olympusmzd12mm\" target=\"_blank\">Olympus m.Zuiko Digital 12mm f\/2.0 lens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/wp02\/?p=5433\" target=\"_blank\">my last post<\/a>, I showed how the E-M5 makes B&amp;W infrared photography easy.<\/p>\n<p>This post is to demonstrate a limited false color tehnique if all you have is Lightroom.<\/p>\n<p>Normally to get a false colour infrared image from infrared RAW file, one would swap the red and blue channels, but unfortunately, Adobe Lightroom does not have this functionality.<\/p>\n<p>In this image I have used Lightroom to adjust White Balance to the far left (blue) and then adjust the tint then correct the exposure as we are no longer relying only on the red channel as I did in the B&amp;W IR shots.<\/p>\n<p>Silverton, near Broken Hill in outback NSW, Australia:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/gary\/photos\/ByLens\/OlympusEM5\/OlympusmZD12mm\/GA181508_LRFalseColor.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ayton.id.au\/gary\/photos\/ByLens\/OlympusEM5\/OlympusmZD12mm\/GA181508_LRFalseColor.jpg\" alt=\"False color IR Silverton\" width=\"600\/\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>ISO 200, 12mm lens at f\/2.0, 1\/13th sec hand held.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I went on a road trip to outback Australia to play with my new Olympus OM-D E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera and primarily used it with the lovely but moderately expensive Olympus m.Zuiko Digital 12mm f\/2.0 lens.
