Free internet at accommodation places:
these are surprisingly hard to find and, even though places may promote this feature, there is a good chance they are not working when you get there as I found out - so perhaps verify it before you book.
I can't believe that accommodations at more than $100 per night do not routinely include free internet access - it is such a no-brainer promotion for them. Of course the expensive hotels out-source their internet features so you generally pay an expensive premium for internet access - better to find alternative accommodation rather than be ripped off or find the nice ambience of an internet cafe.
