Introduction
- these stoves use cheap aerosol can shaped butane cartridges
- these are readily available in most supermarkets and hardware or camping stores and are a very affordable way to cook at camp
- the main downside is that they do not work in near freezing conditions due to the boiling point of butane being at around that temperature

- a hiking stove (see gas_hiking) combined with a butane cartridge adapter and tripod stand
ultracompact butane cartridge "spider" stove
- these are not much bigger than an aerosol can as the stove stows away into the butane cartridge section when stored
