LPG gas stoves for camping

Introduction

LPG gas stoves are those which are designed to run on propane gas from LPG gas bottles
do NOT buy these for camping UNLESS you can legally and safely transport the LPG gas bottles outside of your vehicle

these use the Companion type 3/8“ threaded vertical outlet gas bottles (NOT the Swap 'n' Go LPG gas bottles)
very handy as they are compact but they do suffer from wind issues and generally need extra wind protection

- a much larger version of the basic butane single burner all in one stove but with extra included option to use LPG gas - includes regulator and 900mm LCC27 gas hose
- if you have room this would be an option as butane may be easier to get in some places and you may not always be able to transport a LPG bottle legally, however, given its size, many would opt just for a 2 burner LPG stove

- can be used with 30L and 50L pots for boiling crayfish, crabs, etc
- heats 15L of water for a hot shower in about 2.5mins
- gas controller is a bit awkward to access if using a wok and needs a trivet for a wok
- can get rusty quickly, screws may be poor quality and strip easily
