Melbourne is one of the most spread out cities couresy of it being situated in a sunkland around Port Phillip Bay with lots of land in which it can grow
it has the Dandenong Ranges to its east which offer excellent views, Kinglake to the north-east and Mt Macedon further away to the north-west, while the main vantage point in the south west is on the You Yangs.
