    • Huawei's Harmony OS has been designed from the ground up to make an Apple-like ecosystem - an OS that runs on every type of device even in cars, phones, PCs while accessing Chinese cloud services from Huwaei and Alibaba and which is truly independent of US technologies from Google, Microsoft, Android, Windows, etc
    • the NEXT version removed all Android and Linux code from the original versions which were 1st released in 2019 in Smart TVs.
    • the 1st laptop with this new Harmony NEXT OS was released by Huawei in May 2025
    • China is likely to lock Google, Microsoft and Meta out of the Chinese market and is likely to market this technology to other countries
• ability to cripple remote IT systems including control of critical IoT devices

• ability to have full surveillance of private thoughts of its citizens and know where they are at any time and their behaviours
  • most mobile phones now are listening and often seeing everything we do and with the new embedded “AI chips”, these can be converted to textual data, summarised, red flagged and sent back to servers such as Microsoft, Google, Apple, Samsung, Chinese BeiDou (it uniquely allows devices to send txt TO the GNSS satellites and nearly all the latest smartphones can send data to satellites when in line of sight outside)
    • the devices MUST be listening to everything if their Siri or similar can respond to your voice
    • devices MUST be using a camera or camera-like function at all times when powered on if it is to detect face recognition to unlock it
    • security cameras in public places as well as private retail areas now often have face recognition tech and alerting systems
      • this is used by some retailers to identify persons who may have had prior unwanted behaviours
      • this is extensively used in China to detect those with known anti-govt behaviours
    • most govts now have a red flagging style surveillance of internet, mobile phone and presumably radio traffic - ostensibly to risk manage potential terrorism threats and other serious illegal behaviours
    • in 2025, Israel military precisely targeted Iranian scientists, Iran claims this was thanks to geo-location data provided by Meta via the use of WhatsApp
  • even if phones are turned off, they can be configured by their operating system to send and receive data from other phones via Bluetooth LE, and then find a phone which is connected to the cloud - this would even allow operators to access the phones camera, microphone and GPS location data even when it is turned off.
