  • full frame mirrorless camera system with CDAF
  • made in conjunction with Panasonic which has also announced their full frame system based upon this mount - the Panasonic S full frame mirrorless system
  • Leica-M lens adapter supports 6-bit encoding coming in 2016
  • all lenses for the Leica T camera (APS-C format) can be used without an adapter on the Leica SL
  • lens mount flange distance is 20mm and diameter of 51.6mm for both Leica T and Leica SL (a little wider than the Sony FE E-mount full frame lenses)

  • 47mp full frame CMOS sensor (same as Panasonic S1R but more advanced microlenses in front of the sensor), 14bit, 225 CDAF points

    • battery charger is large
    • no PDAF, so needs to rack the focus in and out which can create a wobble effect and impair the EVF experience and moving subjects may be problematic
