introduction

  • announced Jan 2015
  • similar feature set to the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II but:
    • NO weathersealing
    • new Pen F retro styling with EVF on far left
    • new 20mp sensor with marginally better high ISO noise
    • new monochrome modes
    • added midtone control for contrast highlight-shadow controller
    • new AF spot metering - finally there is the option to have the spot meter read the AF spot data instead of just the centre spot
    • new EXIF editing for legacy lenses
    • separate exposure compensation dial
    • new optional but almost mandatory accessory grip: ECG-4 grip
