Descendants of Thomas BAKER (1768-1821) and Sarah CRANE
Introduction:
Thomas BAKER (1768-1821) (my GGGGG grandfather) was a carrier who was born in 1768 in Street, Somerset, England. In 1793 he married Sarah CRANE and had 10 children.
Sarah CRANE died in 1820 and her husband Thomas BAKER died the next year.
in the following account derived from
Rootweb, there seems to be some inconsistency with the marriages of Harriet MOGG and Mary ROOD to the BAKERS, but it seems that Harriet MOGG married Thomas BAKER (1809-1832) in 1828, had 3 children then, after her husband's death in 1832, she married Thomas' brother John BAKER in 1833 after his 1st wife Mary ROOD died in 1832. She then had 8 children to John. In 1857, she immigrated with Old John BAKER and his children to Sth Australia after her 1st son, John Thomas BAKER and his family had immigrated to Sth Aust. in 1852.
