Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens

introduction

this is a brilliant compact party lens - just add a bounce flash and away you go!
a must have for Panasonic Micro Four Thirds system users unless you can afford the 25mm f/1.4 lens.
Olympus camera owners should consider the cheaper Sigma 19mm f/2.8 EX DN asph lens for Micro Four Thirds instead

20mm focal length = 40mm field of view in 35mm full frame terms = perfect for street photography and party snaps
f/1.7 aperture = great for low light shots such as indoor parties, and urban street night shots

noisy, slowish AF compared with new designs
CA can be a nuisance when used on Olympus cameras - those users may want to consider the cheaper Sigma 19mm f/2.8 EX DN asph lens for Micro Four Thirds

- very sharp, especially in the centre
- bokeh not the nicest but this lens is not really a lens to blur the background substantially anyway with its 20mm focal length.
