This baby Redback spider had just bitten a man in the ear after he put his ear muffs on and didn't check for spiders. 

He became unwell with evidence of envenomation and needed to be given antivenom in hospital. He caught the culprit which is only 6-7mm long from tips of each leg and I had trouble making out any markings with my eye but tiny as it was it still packed enough venom. This photo is a crop of my photo taken with the Olympus E510 with ZD 50mm f/2.0 macro at f/16 and Olympus ring flash. I had to set her free to get a good shot and it was not easy getting her in focus as she ran across the edge of a desk (someone had to keep watch that she didn't bite another victim in the effort!). The adult female usually loses the white markings leaving the classic red stripe.

Oly E330 with OM 50mm macro lens F/22 and 2x teleconv. and Metz Flash, all hand held at ceiling level with focus and composition via the LCD live preview screen being tilted downwards.

PS used to adjust levels and USM applied.

Olympus E330 with Zuiko OM 50mm f/3.5 macro lens and 2x tele/macro extender giving image dimensions of 12mm x 6mm

lit using a Metz 45CL4 flash which produced the out of focus highlights on the hairs which look like dust or dirt.
